Understanding Hubs & Sprockets
What Are Hubs?
Hubs are the mounting components that connect sprockets or wheels to your axle or jackshaft. They provide a secure, adjustable connection point and are essential for proper power transfer in your go-kart or minibike drivetrain.
Key Functions:
- Mount sprockets to axles or jackshafts
- Allow for easy sprocket changes and gear ratio adjustments
- Provide compatibility with multiple bolt circle patterns
- Enable brake drum mounting on some models

⚠ IMPORTANT: The Mini-Hub slides onto the axle and fastens with set screws. Split sprockets bolt onto the hub. The 2211 Brake Drum 4-1/2" also bolts onto this hub for band or drum brake applications.
